Racing to Reopen with Pristine Protocol
In anticipation of America’s Independence Day, organizations are racing to celebrate their own independence as they open again for business. Following a year or more of being locked down, businesses are eager to gather, seeking not only to regain lost time, but also to reward team members that labored through the pandemic.
Even with most companies getting the “green flag” to reopen, celebrating accomplishments, and doing so safely, can be a challenge if you do not have established health and safety protocol in place. Without expertise, you may have some of your biggest contributors bow out of a planned celebration in order to safeguard their own wellbeing.
Enter the ESP planning experts! We recently executed a Circle of Excellence weekend event for a customer with perfect precision and pristine protocol. Employees attending were invited to participate in the weekend knowing from the onset, that specific health practices would be necessary for their participation.
Every attendee and guest involved in the program was required to:
- Show proof of being fully vaccinated or proof of positive COVID-19 test &/or letter from doctor stating that they had tested positive for COVID-19 within the prior 90-days or proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test or SALIVA test within 96-hours of departure.
- Upload all documentation to their company’s privatized Health Document Center.
Individuals riding a luxury coach to the resort were met with an ESP representative, who:
- Verified that all documents had been received, reviewed, and approved.
- Vetted any missing or last-minute documents were prior to boarding.
- Took temperatures of each person and recorded the results. This process included the Driver who also provided proof of a negative Covid test result within 24 hours of departure.
All riders wore masks and utilized hand sanitizer while dancing a socially distanced CONGA line to board the bus.
These practices represent just one layer of pandemic screening protocol. Additional safety procedures were in place at the resort, including continued daily health questionnaires and temp checks of participants.
People love to be appreciated, but not at the cost of their own safety. By providing consistent health screenings and adhering to the health-care requirements in place, our customer demonstrated that they not only valued their team members but cared enough to keep each one of them safe, healthy, and ultimately, happy.
